The 1,000th combat fatality came yesterday; a leaked CIA report from the Baghdad station chief indicates that the situation is far more treacherous than what the Bush Administration lets on and shows no signs of getting better; Donald Rumsfeld was thrown off guard when confronted by angry soldiers; and George Bush himself has gone from 'mission accomplished' to 'the enemies of freedom in Iraq have been wounded, but they're not yet defeated.'"
